Why did I become a coach?

​

I became a manager at a young age, and was keen to learn as much as possible about how to lead, motivate and develop the members of my team. After completing my corporate training I felt there must be more. Fortunately there was, my coaching journey began when I became a Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) practitioner in 2000, which ignited my passion to realise my potential and to help others do the same. I have continued my learning journey since (see below) seeking out the most effective ways to help clients make meaningful and lasting change in their lives. Most recently, I qualified as a Strategic Intervention Coach with RMT (Robbins, Madanes Training).

How have I used my coaching?

​

In my own life, I have used my coaching skills to achieve my goals and overcome obstacles. For example, when I was 28 following a serious back operation I was told I would not be able to play sport again. Within 18 months, I put on a backpack and travelled the world for a year, and on my return, I started training in Aikido (a martial art) achieving my black belt some years later.  I live near Brighton with my wife and two young children, who are a constant source of inspiration.

In supporting individuals across a wide range of sectors as well as progressing the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion agenda.   I was humbled to be included in the 2019 EMpower Top 15 Advocate list and received the Black British Business Awards Ally of the year in 2022.

I set up Corr Coaching Solutions to find more ways to serve clients. This has included working with leaders across the globe and across sectors, working with individuals and teams to help them fulfil their potential.
